On the cusp of B.A. in must weight and honied richness, it preserves the liveliness and lightness of touch and sheer drinkability conveyed by fresh grapes. Seductive inner-mouth perfume of flowers and spices overlie a tropically opulent, subtly botrytized pool of fruit that remains transparent to mineral nuances. Insistent citricity keeps the flavors lively through to a finish of refinement and lift. For all of its youthful sweetness, this has undeniable immediate appeal, yet one can be confident of at least three decades satisfying development in the bottle." 94 points Josh Raynolds (International Wine Cellar): "Deep, hazy yellow. Brooding aromas of peach pit, pear skin, lees and minerals gain brightness with air, picking up livelier lime and lemongrass character. Densely packed orchard and pit fruit flavors are complicated by iodine, smoky lees and flowers. This has the texture and chewiness of a red wine. The finish strongly repeats the mineral element and lingers with impressive clarity and tanginess. For such a rich wine there's really surprising finesse too. The yield here was less than one ton per acre, Kistler told me. (May/Jun 2009)"

Magnum Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut NV Champagne 1.5 Liter. Clicquot's signature non-vintage Brut is loved all over the world for its crisp, full flavors, consistent quality and celebratory yellow label. What this wine lacks in age, it more than makes up for in youthful exuberance. Cola, vanilla and cherry jam aromas are most prominent, but layers of toffee, toast and raspberry fruit really create excitement. Fleshy plum flavors are rounded out with velvety tannins and a wonderful creamy texture. Pale silvery-straw color. Clean aromas of grapefruit pith and anise. Juicy, bright and pure, with creamy depth and a pliant texture to the flavors of orange, grapefruit and spices. Tightens up nicely on the long finish.
