trong berry, tastefully sweet, slightly oakey, smooth, with a mild tannin slipping in at the finish. A nice inexpensive wine to accompany steak and hearty pasta dishes.

A warm, dry spring followed the rainy winter, promoting early vine budbreak and an early onset of the growing season. The year’s higher-than-average rainfall ended with unseasonably warm temperatures in March. An extended heat spell in August and early September accelerated ripening, brining full maturity earlier than usual. The smaller-than-average crop gave our 2004 Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon notable concentration.

This wine is a Merlot grown somewhere in California and vinified by the E. & J. Gallo Winery, a very high volume producer. Merlot grapes probably originated in Bordeaux, France. I don’t think anyone is going to expect Bordeaux quality at these prices, the question is can we get a drinkable wine.

Barolo is the most fascinating of all the Pio Cesare wines and features an air of aristocracy and a domineering personality. Yet the Barolo is rich with hidden hues enjoyed by those who take the time to savor the wine. Pio Cesare Barolo is intentionally "traditional", austere and important and a wine to be approached thoughtfully.

Deep and fresh in the mouth, with impressive lift and focus to the sweet berry flavors. Finishes spicy and bright, with lingering blackberry and boysenberry flavors

Good flavour concentration. With attractive aromas of berries and mint along with creamy, toasty characters from 8 months matruation in a combination of French and America oak, this wine may be enjoyed in its youth while the pleasant fruit flavours abound, or in the medium term as a 4 to 6 year old matured wine

Our 2005 Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas of dark fruit and rich earth. In the mouth the wine is smooth and balanced with a full body and lasting finish. Enjoy this Cabernet with grilled meats, hearty stew or eggplant ragout.
