The 2007 Chardonnay is made in a fruity, unoaked style. White peach and pear dominate the aromatics leading to a round, ripe, tasty wine with good balance and length. Cousino-Macul was one of the first wineries from Chile to make a breakthrough into the American market primarily due to the hard work of importer Alfredo Bartholomaus. The quality of the wines has been consistently good but recent improvements in the vineyards and winery have taken quality up to another level.

youthful, fruity semi-dry white mevushal wine. Contour by Baron Herzog is a wonderful expression of selected California grapes which have been especially chosen for this exceptional wine. It has been bottled young to enhance its fruity and lively aromas of peach, pear, and citrus. Best served chilled with poultry or spicy Asian dishes, or on its own as an apertif.

A rich and golden hue, with a fine, sparse bead. A fine, nutty and mature character on the nose. Lovely, rounded, full yet well balanced on the palate, with a fine depth but with freshness too. Quite organic in character, with a long and fresh and meaty finish. Still full of potential for the cellar, but just fine now.

Only released when these late ripening varieties have attained sufficient fruit intensity and structure to produce a restrained wine with power yet finesse. Cassis, dark chocolate and vanilla. Blackcurrant, cedar and cloves layered with a fine tannin ladder.

The trade was working with an older package, going on ten years, that reflected the pre-investment perception by the wholesaler network of lower perceived quality.

"One of the largest Médoc estates, with 230 acres of vines, Greysac is a good, reliable source of classically styled Bordeaux. The style has become more modern in recent years, with an increased use of new wood, as in this 2004, which currently dominates. Enjoy it now for its toasty character, or wait for it to calm down." Inviting aromas of boysenberry and violet define the nose of this flagship Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon. A rich and dense entry begins with layers of black raspberry, mocha and hints of blueberry. The palate offers a graceful balance between fruit extract and fine-grained tannins. This deep, concentrated wine has a classic Cinq Cepages structure with beautiful oak integration and a lushness throughout that leads to a lingering finish.
