The nose opened nicely, with cigar-box, black cherries, and chocolate-covered raisins. In the mouth, it was big and a little tannic. The firm acidity added some lift and hit some pomegranate notes. While lean and dry, it showed admirable complexity and a nice long finish.

Deep, rich color. Warm oak nose. Flavors of black currant, blackberry and plum. Soft texture with a long finish and hints of chocolate.

A blush version of the immensely popular Vinho Verde Branco, this has plenty of crowd-pleasing charm. Soft red berry aromas and flavors are accompanied by a delicate spritz on the palate.
