From the cool-climate charm of our Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir to our sought-after single-vineyard bottlings from the Russian River Valley, Carneros, Mendocino and the Santa Lucia Highlands, our Pinot Noir program captures the vibrant diversity of this exceptional varietal. In the winery, we craft wines that balance the depth, power and purity of Pinot Noir with elegance, structure and finesse.
Fragrant wild berry, stewed plum scents are joined by pretty floral aromas. Delicious fruit, rich and ripe, with an accent of sweet oak; smooth and delectable.

This is pure Pinot Noir with signature ripe black cola and a hint of spiciness on the nose. Core flavors of cherry and plum along with silky notes of wild berries and vanilla fill the mouth while the soft, velvety tannins and balanced acidity keeps the wine suspended into the finish. This is a substantial wine that can stand up to a number of rich foods.

Delicate and alluring aromas of dark cherry. Medium-bodied and silky smooth with well-defined fruit redolent of red berries with cherry notes.
|
Enticing aromas of juicy cherry, fleshy plum, strawberry tart and orange marmalade, with barrel notes of vanilla, cedar, brown sugar and spice. Oak aging rounds out the palate and gives the wine its body. Lush weighty fruit on the palate, tasting of raspberry preserves. The finish is fresh, bright and lingers of ripe red berry flavors.

Our 2007 A to Z Pinot Noir is true to variety and vintage with bold aromatics and a palate to please. This wine has moderately-deep color and a tannin profile to match. The dark spices on the nose and palate complement the flavors you would expect from a good Oregon Pinot Noir: blackberry, raspberry, black cherry and earth. The oak profile is restrained and the natural acidity from the 2007 vintage gives the wine precision and tautness.

"The 2006 is an earthy and elegant wine, marked by red currant, red cherry, warm spice, forest aromas and a toasty oak finish." - Ivan Giotenov, Winemaker

Tannins are starting to mellow on this vintage and it is aging into a graceful wine. Deep burgundy color. Decant one hour before serving at this early stage and it really opens up the fruit, the bouquet and rounds out the tannins. Alcohol levels back down to the 13% level. Fruit flavors of of blueberries with red cherry, black/red currants and hints of dill/cedar with a long peppery, tannic finish. 1450 cases. Released Fall 2008.

Seuil de Mazeyres is the estate’s new second wine. It is a blend of Merlot (80%) and Cabernet Franc (20%). It is aged for 18 months in oak barrels (one third new) before being released. It is made to drink sooner than Château Mazeyres.
Tasting Notes:
Deep garnet color. Elegant red fruit and dried fruit aromas. Full-bodied and smooth, with an unctuous fruity palate. Very well-balanced with soft, supple tannins, and a long finish of fruit and smoke. A rich wine that will continue to improve for 6 to 7 more years. Perfect with steak, roast chicken, duck, and lamb chops.
