When young, the wine hints of the fine aromas of orange blossoms, citrus fruit, honey and vanilla. As the wine ages, it develops depth and warmth. A spiciness is also apparent, mingled with hints of exotic flowers and candied citrus.

An exotic, indeed even tropical fruit nose is trimmed in ample wood toast that introduces rich, full, forward and sweet flavors that possess excellent depth and density yet perhaps not quite the elegance and precision. To be sure, it could just be an early stage and that this will tighten up with time in bottle but it's unusually accessible at present. The benefit of the doubt is offered as the track record is too good not to do so.

On the densely packed palate, rich black fruit, dark chocolate and briary spice flavors are framed by supple, elegant tannins, leading to a long, savory finish. With a firm, deep structure and great reserves of lush, ripe fruit, this well-endowed Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon will drink deliciously for another 7-10 years.

This rich, suave Cabernet Sauvignon offers lavish aromas of ripe dark fruits (blackcurrants, blackberry and boysenberry) mingled with loamy earth, dark chocolate, vanilla cream and briary spice scents. Full and lush on the palate, its dense, mouthfilling, black fruit and dark chocolate flavors are framed by fine, ripe tannins, which give the wine a seamless, sumptuous texture and long, savory finish. Beautifully structured, with great reserves of lush, ripe fruit, this luxurious Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is delicious now, but will age well for another 7-10 years.

Clear and bright pale yellow colour with clean greenish highlights. Intense and delicate, fruity, Mediterranean, fresh, lively, fruity, pleasantly sourish, round, dry and well-bodied.Recommended with soup, legumes and vegetables, excellent with hors d’oeuvres and fish.

Francis Coppola Bianco is a blend of Pinot Grigio (43%), Chardonnay (41%) and Sauvignon Blanc (16%). This wine has some interesting characteristics, but is a bit on the subdued side. It's a little like each varietal wants to come across, but is saying "after you" to the others, so they all end up hanging back. This wine has plenty of subtle nuances, but a rather passive character.

Dry still white wine. Brilliant straw yellow with subtle green highlights, full rich flavours, a lively pleasant acidity,hints of apple, dried fruits and spring blossom.

A fantastic nose of spice, wood toast, brioche, white flower, honeysuckle and citrus hints lead to rich, full, big and sappy flavors that really coat the mouth on the broad and palate staining finish. This is a big Bienvenues and while perhaps not as graceful as the 2000 or 2002, this is certainly stylish and deep. Like many of the wines in the range, it is also relatively forward by the usual standards of this wine yet it will certainly reward mid-term cellaring.
