There is an enthralling sappy richness to the floral and blackberry-scented 2000 Musigny. Supremely elegant, it is not quite as dense as the 2001 yet reveals outstanding depth, purity, and concentration. Lush, stony red and black fruits are interspersed with violets and tangy raspberries in its exceptionally long, expressive, plump character.

The wine expresses the very essence of Chambolle-Musigny. Fine, fragrant, and aristocratic wines created by perfectionists.

The vines have an average age of just under 30 years. The Domaine also owns small sections totaling 0.34 ha in the Chambolle 1er Crus of Les Baudes (average 54 year-old vines) and Les Fuées whose vines average 45 years. Rather than vinify these separately they effectively declassify the resulting 1er Cru wines by choosing to blend into their single villages cuvée.

Our Twin Valley Chardonnay has a pleasing range of unexpected flavor - citrus notes, hints of vanilla and a dash of oak. The mouthfeel is soft, with a medium weight and slight crispness. A lingering finish tastes of ripe red apples. The well-balanced fruit and oak character of our Chardonnay makes it the perfect accompaniment to just about any meal. Try it with more delicate poultry or seafood dishes such as herb marinated chicken or lobster tail.
